Gettysburg: History Through the Mists

By Rich Miller - February 12, 2025

Gettysburg: History Through the Mists: Step back in time and immerse yourself in the haunting beauty of Gettysburg’s historic battlefields, cloaked in morning fog and light rain. The mist spreads across the iconic rolling hills and solemn monuments, providing an atmospheric encounter with the  echoes of history.

It was rainy during our visit to Gettysburg in October 2024, but the overcast skies and light rain provided a solemn mood for visiting key sites from the epic three-day battle in July 1863, as well as the National Cemetery where President Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address four months later. On the final morning, the sky cleared at sunrise to provide a gorgeous view of the landscape at dawn, with fog blanketing the battlefield and framing the monuments and artillery.

May these tranquil yet stirring visuals of Gettysburg remind you of the stories etched into these hallowed grounds.
